Latin Liturgy Association Sung Vespers in Springfield Illinois

The public is most cordially invited to the celebration of Vespers, even though you may not be a member of the Latin Liturgy Association. This event is open to the public.

(Directions from St. Louis: I-64 to 255 south to Illinois 15 east. Go past the Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows. Exit on Illinois Street-Highway 159 north to Harrison St. Turn left and go two blocks. Park in the lot on the east side of the cathedral.)

WHEN: Saturday, April 26, 2014
5:30 p.m. Sung Vespers in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel
(following the 4:00 p.m. Mass at the Cathedral)

AGENDA:
LLA member Stan Metheny and the schola from St. Mary of Victories Church in St. Louis will lead us in Sung Vespers in Latin, in the Ordinary Form. Father Brian Harrison will officiate. Please invite family and friends, since this liturgy is open for all. Rev. Msgr. John T. Mylar, rector of the cathedral has graciously given us permission for this event to take place.
Following the Vespers, we will adjourn to the Cry Room in the cathedral for a short business meeting. There are several downtown restaurants that are open for dinner, if you would like to stay for dinner, after the meeting.
