It is with great sadness we tell you our dear, dear friend, and devout Catholic mother, wife and leader, Jacqueline (Jackie) Hummel passed from this work to the next on October 20, 2021.
Jackie was a CREDO Gold Member, a generous and tireless volunteer, and a donor. In her later years, Jackie’s strong devotion to the Catholic faith became more evident as her bravery and uniqueness came into play. She and her dear husband, Bill, continue to grow in our One True Faith. They followed the Lord closely; it was towards a fervent and orthodox Catholicism. No matter where it led, and despite any possible foreign or uncomfortable feelings during her journey, Jackie always sought to follow the one true Catholic faith.
Jackie was extraordinarily blessed to have her family courageously remove her from the hospital to spend her final days in their care, in the home she loved, surrounded by her faith and her loving and strong, protective husband, Bill. Their children joined them, of course, with their much loved spouses, and their grandchildren. Indeed, Jackie was, with all this a Complete woman; she knew, loved, and served Him fully in this world, awaiting the next.
Jackie’s holy death was preceded by constant and holy priestly prayers, receiving much love and many blessings in her last days. She was given the Apostolic Pardon and Blessing, multiple occasions of anointing, the Sacrament of Extreme Unction and the Last Rites.
As an eager and dedicated CREDO volunteer, on any given night, Jackie would invariably sing into action at a moment’s notice, along with Bill. Jackie’s precious demeanor was invariably quick with a glowing smile, lighting up any room she chose to grace. Her exquisite handwriting and sharp organizational skills were key in expediting CREDO mailings as she and Bill devoutly worked long into the nights with joy-filled hearts.
Requiescat in pace, our dear Jaqueline!
