Sunday, July 24th is Father Harrison’s Last Holy Mass at St. Mary’s before he retires to Australia.
As you likely are aware, our beloved Father Brian Harrison will be celebrating his farewell Holy Mass at 11a.m. at St. Mary of Victories (SMOV) Church this Sunday, July 24th.
Serving well into his 70’s, he is finally retiring, after having to wait an extra 2.5 years due to “COVID”! Father Harrison was such a devoted parish priest for the Hungarian Church and community during his years of service! He learned Hungarian so that he could say part of the weekly mass in Hungarian, a long-standing tradition with the prior Hungarian priests at SMOV. Father has been the “glue” at SMOV especially during the “COVID” years.
Fr. Harrison also served faithfully as our CREDO of the Catholic Laity Spiritual Director for a number of years. We are so very grateful to Father for his years of generous service to CREDO. Father has given us many beautiful memories over the years! The Rosary Run with Our Lady’s Procession, Father’s Funeral Mass for Phyllis Schlafly Mass at the Cathedral with President Trump and his first Lady, and Pontifical Masses, are just a few!
If you plan to attend Father’s farewell Holy Mass and wish to bring a retirement “thank you” for Father Harrison, please make any checks out directly to Father Brian Harrison). No gift is too small; indeed, your appreciation and kind words will make Father’s heart sing!
If you are unable to attend, you may mail or bring checks for Fr. Harrison, to CREDO. 25 Williamsburg Rd. St. Louis, MO 63141. Call/text: 314 322 0337
