After writing letters making false allegations, organizing protests and threatening the use of bullhorns, St. Louis transgender activists were unable to stop Dr. Paul Hruz on Saturday from delivering his lecture, “Sex & Gender in Light of Truth, Beauty and Goodness.”
The lecture took place at St. Anselm Parish in suburban St. Louis but was sponsored by a local organization, CREDO of the Catholic Laity — a group founded in 1995 by a small band of faithful Catholic men who felt the Church in St. Louis was going “off track.” To keep the Church “on track,” CREDO has hosted lectures by noted Catholic scholars and experts. Events
The thirteenth lecture series, sponsored by the Association of Hebrew Catholics and given by Dr. Larry Feingold began on Jan. 29, 2014. The series is entitled: Creation and Covenant. Dr. Feingold is a Credo Advisory Board Member, the AHC Director of Theology, and Associate Professor of Theology and Philosophy at Kenrick-Glennon Seminary, St. Louis. The twelve lectures of this series, along with the question/answer sessions, may be listened to or downloaded to your computer at no cost, after they have been posted to our web site. The lecture notes are also posted and may be downloaded. When all the lectures have been given, they will also available from our web store as an mp3 disc.
For those who wish to attend, the lectures are given on Wednesdays, from 7:00-9:00 pm in the Gannon Room of the Cathedral Basilica Rectory. Entrance and parking is on the west (left) side of the Rectory. You may request more information here.

On Saturday and Sunday, September 29th & 30th, we were blessed with an animated public lecture and practical demonstration of principles by the Bishop Peter Elliott on the Liturgical Reforms Envisioned by Benedict XVI, at Saint Mary of Victories Church.
Credo members have been interested in “good liturgy” for many years; we have a number of enthusiasts of what is now called the Extraordinary Form of the Liturgy, and Board Member Fred Haehnel is the president of the local Una Voce chapter. Advisory Board member James Hitchcock is one of the founders of the Latin Liturgy Association, which promotes and fosters the use of Latin, and his wife Helen publishes the very fine Adormeus Bulletin, recommended by Bishop Elliott.

Spiral of Silence: A social phenomenon where, out of a desire to avoid reprisal or rejection, people go along with what they think is the popular opinion – even if they object to that opinion personally. Instead of voicing their objections, they remain silent. In cooperation with the Bishops’ ongoing campaign for religious liberty, the DVD “Breaking the Spiral of Silence” will be shown Monday, August 20th at 7 PM at St. Clare of Assisi followed by a Q & A session with Dr. Ed Hogan, director of Paul VI Institute in St. Louis.
