All Things New (ATN) is presenting St. Louis Catholics with the challenge of a lifetime. Find out what you likely do not know regarding ATN, your duty and your rights as a parishioner of your present parish.
https://allthingsnew.archstl.org/Ways-to-Engage/Listening-Sessions
As part of the ongoing strategic process for All Things New, the Archdiocese will be hosting listening sessions for each parish in October and November, 2022. Each listening session will be facilitated by volunteer parishioners from a different parish. These trained facilitators will share pre-recorded messages from Archbishop Rozanski and Fr. Chris Martin, Vicar for Strategic Planning, with an overview of All Things New, a planning area overview, multiple DRAFT model options to consider for the respective planning area and facilitate large group feedback. If your parish has more than one Listening Session, the information presented at both is the same.
The goals of the listening sessions are to engage as many parishioners as possible in understanding the current state of our parishes and diocese and to solicit feedback from as many parishioners as possible about the DRAFT models options for their planning area.
After the final listening session in each planning area, the Archdiocese of St. Louis will make public the content presented at all the parish’s Listening Sessions in that planning area and will offer an additional opportunity for parishioners to provide open-ended feedback through an online survey. The survey will remain open until December 31, 2022. Parishioner feedback to the models is critical as it will be used to help shape the future of the Archdiocese of St. Louis.
In order for parishioners to be fully prepared with accurate information before their parish listening session(s), we are providing parishioners with a supplementary resource, their Parish Workbook. The Parish Workbooks were designed to give parishioners relevant demographic, ministerial, and financial data about the Archdiocese of St. Louis, their local planning area, and their specific parish. The data contained in the Parish Workbook was created by the Pastoral Planning Committee and validated by pastors and Key Parish Leaders over the past several months. The workbooks incorporate data gathered over the past twenty years from parishes across the Archdiocese of St. Louis and highlights historical trends which inform future projections for parish life.
Parishioners are encouraged to review the Parish Workbooks prior to attending their listening sessions so they can familiarize themselves with the important data that has led to the DRAFT models which will be presented.

Twenty-five years have passed since the death of Mother Teresa of Calcutta, sparking a renewed interest in this spiritual giant of the 20th century. Filmed on 5 continents and featuring unprecedented access to both institutional archives and the apostolates of the Missionaries of Charity, this film reveals not just who Mother Teresa was, but how her singular vision to serve Christ in the poor continues to be realized through the Missionaries of Charity today. This is far more than a documentary. It is at once a soaring tribute to a spiritual icon, a powerful witness of authentic Christian charity, and a guidepost for all who seek hope in our turbulent times.
Donald “Don” Henry Niesse, passed away at the age of 92 and one half, on September 21, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri.
Don was a faithful Roman Catholic of both Our Lady of the Presentation and All Souls Parishes, St. Louis, MO, and he was an original and longtime faithful member of CREDO of the Catholic Laity in St. Louis.
Don was blessed as he died with the comfort of loved ones by his side and attending to him in his last days and up to his last moment on God’s earth. Don had a wonderfully holy death; dying as he lived, being fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church and an Apostolic Blessing and wearing his Brown Scapular of Our Lady of Mount Carmel on his last day. Imagine most of our readers have already seen at least one particular section of the interview which the actor Shia LaBoeuf gave yesterday to His Excellency Bishop Robert Barron. But if you have only seen or read the part in which he talks about the role the traditional Latin Mass played in his recent conversion, and his appreciation of it, I would very strongly urge you to listen to the whole thing, which is incredibly moving and interesting.
