Unpublished by St. Louis Review
Though many people on many occasions, have brought and continue to bring to our attention, that they have sent letters to the Review which were left unpublished, here is one that recently came to our attention.
The letter below, is a response to the Review editorial published, December 16, 2021. This response letter was never published by the Review, is from Bob Baker, a CREDO Member and former Board Member. Bob first learned of the Association of U.S. Catholic Priests (AUSCP) in 2019, when CREDO held a Rosary rally outside of their national conference in St. Louis. CREDO along with other St. Louis Catholics, were present on the hotel property, as Abp. Carlson offered AUSCP’s Mass (admittedly, at least his third annual AUSCP convention Mass) and Abp. Cupich gave the keynote address. With much of AUSCP’s mission seeming challenging to Church teaching, it is no wonder, all the clergy in attendance seemed to be aligned with all things homosexual, obvious in word and in deed. This summary of the convention environment, sadly did not exclude the aforementioned Mass. Read more “Unpublished by St. Louis Review”
It is with great sadness we tell you our dear, dear friend, and devout Catholic mother, wife and leader, Jacqueline (Jackie) Hummel passed from this work to the next on October 20, 2021.
Jackie was a CREDO Gold Member, a generous and tireless volunteer, and a donor. In her later years, Jackie’s strong devotion to the Catholic faith became more evident as her bravery and uniqueness came into play. She and her dear husband, Bill, continue to grow in our One True Faith. They followed the Lord closely; it was towards a fervent and orthodox Catholicism. No matter where it led, and despite any possible foreign or uncomfortable feelings during her journey, Jackie always sought to follow the one true Catholic faith. COVID – 19 Experimental Vaccines In Light of Ethics and Morals
Plain Talk in the Interest of Promoting a Catholic Culture*
This topic is very simple, not complicated. To promote Catholic culture, we must have a healthy Catholic population from which to fulfill His first command: “But increase you and multiply, and go upon the earth, and fill it.” Genesis 9:7 (Douay – Rheims). It is in this spirit which justice demands, we address the big question here, which concerned Catholics are asking us, about the COVID – 19 vaccine(s):
Is the COVID – 19 experimental vaccine PROJECT ethically or morally correct?
Unbelievably, this is a courageous question to ask in our society today – for many reasons – but it must be asked. Ethics regarding vaccines goes well beyond whether fetal tissues are used in any way in this experimental vaccine development, testing or manufacture. https://www.lifesitenews.com/opinion/should-we-be-concerned-about-ethical-vaccines
As Catholics, we must always look to seek truth, beauty and goodness that will bring us to what is moral and ethical. This COVID – 19 experimental vaccine inquiry raises other unavoidable issues which Catholics have, perhaps, scarcely considered heretofore and it breaks down to four simpler questions which make up its premise; they are nearly begging to be asked: Read more “COVID – 19 Experimental Vaccines: Catholic Ethics”
